Evas Village Kraft Foods KaBOOM! Playground Build Day
As part of a national initiative to promote play for underprivileged children by the Kraft Foods Foundation and KaBOOM!, Eva’s Village volunteers and Kraft Foods employees met on October 6th, 2011 to build a new playground for the children of Eva’s Village and the surrounding community.
"I would like to thank all of you for helping today. I was really very proud of all of you. When we talk about people with strikes, people who have had the deck stacked against them, that is what Eva's Village is all about. Eva's Village has been anchoring this community and it extended itself to help those who need a hand up not a hand out."
~ Lori Grifa, New Jersey State Community Affairs Commissioner
"We moved 172 cubic yards of concrete -- you are probably tired. We are almost there I promise you. So again I should give thanks to all of you who had the opportunity to really share this great day."
~ Evan Mynalt, Project Manager, KaBOOM!
